I popped the making of this up on my snap chat last night but in case you missed it…..
What You Need:
Lean Minced Steak
Gluten Free or Wholewheat Bread Baps
Coconut Oil
Iceberg Lettuce (shredded)
Onion (finely chopped)
Gherkins
Cheddar Cheese
For The Sauce:
1 Cup Mayo Substitute or Extra Light Mayo
3 Tblsns Sweet Pickle Relish
1 Tblspn Mustard
1 Tsp White Wine Vinegar
1 Tsp Paprika
1 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
What To Do:
Roll minced meat in hands in burger sized portions and flatten onto some greaseproof paper to make burger patties. (You will need two burger patties per serving)
Preheat pan and melt a 1/2 tsp of coconut oil.
Fry patties for 2-3 mins on each side.
Meanwhile…
In a bowl mix up the burger sauce by mixing mayo, relish, mustard, white wine vinegar, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder. Stir well.
Then it’s time to build your burger.
Using one burger bap – take the top and slice in half horizontally to make a flat middle layer for your burger.
Taking a second burger bap and starting from the bottom down – spread some burger sauce and add lettuce and onion.
Place a pattie on top and a slice of cheese.
Place middle bun layer on top and spread some burger sauce to cover. Add lettuce, onion and second pattie and top with a sliced gherkin.
Add some sauce to the top bun and place on top of the burger tower to crown it nicely!
Maybe a little weekend treat next week? Keep this one on file 🙂
