How To Boost Your Workouts

Has your workout routine being lacking lately? Are you finding it tough to inject a bit of mojo in to your sessions? Here are a few sure-fire ways to make sure you start smashing your gym-time again – my top tips on how to boost your workouts.

1: Throw Something New In The Mix

Social media – especially Instagram is a great tool for finding quick workouts you can try at home or at the gym. If you are lacking a bit of umph, why not try add something a little different to your norm. Aim to shake it up a bit incorporating new exercises or even a full body workout. Changes to routine – no matter how big or small  – can really inject some added energy.

2: Dress To Impress

Never underestimate the power of some good workout gear. If you are flagging a little a little shopping spree might be just the answer! More often than not having some new gear to workout in will bring all the added energy you need.

3: Put Away The Phone

Phones are a huge distraction when working out. Set yours on flight mode and get into your workout interruption free. If you don’t chances are you will stop to answer a call or text that could very well have waited till later.

4: Be A Class Act

Haven’t tried a class before? Prefer to go solo in the gym? My advice – give a class a go. You may be pleasantly surprised. It’s the perfect answer to adding a little added power to your cardio workouts. At Go Gym Limerick we have over 40 classes a week to choose from. So don’t be shy. Come down and try one out!

5: Crank Up The Volume

A new playlist and a sturdy pair of headphones might be all the motivation you need to go hard or go home! Music beats can really help you power through an awesome workout so create a clever playlist and get moving. Turn the volume up, block out everything else and give it your full 100%.
